Pastor's Weekly Update

It'll Take A Miracle

Posted by John Repsold on

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Now that the snow has stopped for the next 24 hours, we’ll all hopefully be able to gather tomorrow in worship of our Lord and King.  Here’s how this week of CELEBRATION looks to be shaping up.

“IT’LL TAKE A MIRACLE!”—That’s the title of tomorrow’s message from the Christmas story.  How many times have we said, “It’ll take a miracle,” when it comes to life’s experiences?  Well, the Christmas story took a boatload of miracles, a few of which we’ll look at tomorrow.  Come and see where God might want to do a miracle with you in the days ahead too.  See you in the morning, 9 or 11AM.

MOSAIC CHRISTMAS PARTY, SUNDAY NIGHT, Dec. 19th @ 2ND SPACE, 5-8PM

Come join the party tomorrow night as we just have a lot of fun together enjoying food, fellowship, music, games and even some Christmas crafts for gifts.  Bring a plate of appetizers/finger food, your favorite table game and a voice to celebrate the season.  For those who like to give the gift of song and a Christmas invitation to others, we’ll be heading out about 6:45PM to the Cooper-George Retirement Center to sing Christmas carols and then on to a couple of the buildings in our neighborhood to do a little caroling.  Should be a hoot!

CHRISTMAS EVE CELEBRATIONS

At 3 and 5PM Dec. 24th we’ll be celebrating the incarnation of God at our Second Space Christmas Eve Celebrations.  Complete with Christmas music, readings, a special guest appearance by Nickie Gumble of Alpha and yours truly speaking briefly, this promises to be a celebration fit for the King.  Oh, and there will also be some light refreshments.  We’ll supply some hot and cold drinks.  BRING a plate of YOUR FAVORITE CHRISTMAS COOKIES and we’ll all enjoy a good sugar high!

ONCE SERVICE, Dec. 26th, 10:00AM

We know it may be a bit crowded but we thought it might be nice to end the year with one really full, really fun service together.  So plan to come together at 10:00AM next Sunday, the last one of 2010, for a great time of worship around “Christmas Leftovers.”

Celebrating God’s goodness with you,

John
