Pastor's Weekly Update

This Weekend

Posted by John Repsold on

You never know what a day, or in this case, a night will bring.  Case in point:  Tuesday night into Wednesday morning’s snow storm.  I know some of you woke up to no electricity…and went to bed the same.  Others, like our block, looked like a bomb had gone off up in the maple tree branches. Hopefully this is not a harbinger of things to come this winter.

Speaking of things to come, there are some great experiences awaiting us this weekend (hopefully without snow).

Saturday:  God’s people from all over Spokane are gathering at the Riverfront Park clock tower from 1:00-3:00 p.m. to be “The Church @ City Hall.”   We will gather to pray and seek the Lord’s face to heal our land, our homes, our Spokane. Come join us and be a part of something that will positively impact Spokane for the kingdom of God.

Don’t forget Changing Lives starting at 5:00 p.m. at Mosaic on Saturday.  Bob will be focusing on the atonement of Christ.  Then our regular Mosaic Fellowship worship services on Sunday are at 8:45 & 10:45 a.m.  We’ll be moving farther into chapter 1 of Romans this week about the power of the Gospel.

Sunday evening the Chipley’s are gathering our young missions-hearted-and-focused couples and singles together for dinner at their house along with a few of us who want to support them.  So if you are interested in financially supporting one or more of these tremendous people or couples, there are still a few spots at the table.  Dinner is at 5:30 this Sunday, October 13.  If you would like to be a part of this, please call Aaron or Karen at 509-954-5747 ASAP to reserve your spot.

Stay warm!
